On a television, Windows and the Mac, Add to favorites, Add to group and, for films and series, Add to watchlist are the quick actions at the top of the sheet that hold OK (or a right-click) opens. Once added they read In favorites, In … groups and In watchlist, and selecting them again takes the item out.

On a phone, press and hold a channel in Live and tap the star, or use Add to… → Favorite. On a film’s or series’ page, the star and Watchlist do the same.

  • Phone: the rows on Home. See all on the Recently watched, Favorites and Watchlist rows opens the whole list, and Favorites and My groups have their own entries in the Live folders.
  • Television, Windows, the Mac: the rows on Home with Show all, including a Favorites row and a Groups row, Favorites and My groups in the category column of TV Channels, and My groups in the side menu.

On a phone, the Favorites, Watchlist and Recently watched screens have a select button in the top corner. Tick items and tap Remove from favorites, Remove from watchlist or Remove from recently watched. In Favorites and the Watchlist you can also drag ≡ to put them in order; a very long list edits its first 500 items.

On a television, Windows and the Mac, hold OK on the item:

  • the quick action at the top takes it out of favourites or the watchlist;
  • Move in favorites or Move in watchlist puts it in another place, also in a long list;
  • Remove from Recently watched takes a channel off that row;
  • Remove from Continue watching forgets where you stopped and keeps the title in the catalogue.

To empty Recently watched or Continue watching of the profile you are in at once, after a question, on every device of your account:

WhereHow
Phone and tabletSettings → Watch history → Clear Recently watched or Clear Continue watching. Or hold a card in either row on Home and pick Clear Recently watched or Clear Continue watching instead of Remove, or use the clear button at the top of the Recently watched screen
Television, Windows and the MacSettings → Player, group Watch history. Or hold OK on a card in either row on Home and pick Clear Recently watched or Clear Continue watching under Manage
Account panelClear all in the Recently watched or Continue watching tab of the Library

Clearing from Settings or the Recently watched screen removes channels, films and series from Recently watched; clearing from a channel card on Home removes the channels and leaves films and series. Clearing Continue watching keeps your watched marks.

The order of Favourites and the Watchlist is the same on every device and in the account panel.

Favourites are one flat list. Groups are as many named lists as you like. Use favourites for “the twenty channels I actually watch”, groups for “sport”, “kids”, “news”.

Both appear in the Live folder screen, as filters in the channel list, and on the home screen.

Built from where you stopped, which is saved per profile and synced with a short delay. Start a film on the phone, open the television, and it is there at the same second. A catch-up programme you stopped in is the exception: it stays in Continue watching on the device you watched it on.

A film or an episode counts as finished at 95 %, and a film then leaves the row. A series leaves after its last episode and comes back at the front when a new episode shows up. A film or episode you finish shows as watched in every copy of it, also in your other playlists.

To remove a title before you finish it, hold the tile on a phone, or hold OK on it and choose Remove from Continue watching on a television.

Continue watching keeps one entry per title. When you start another version of a film, such as 4K instead of FHD or another language, or the same episode in another copy of a series, it starts where you stopped in the one before, and the entry moves to the version you play. From start on its page still plays from the beginning. See Another version starts where you stopped.

Every profile has its own favourites, watchlist, history and groups. Switching profile switches all of them at once. That is the point of profiles, see Profiles, PINs and locked categories.

Removing a playlist removes its channels from your groups, and deletes any group that is left empty. Favourites and history entries for those channels go with it.

Changing a playlist’s link is different and more dangerous, which is why the app asks you a question first, see Refreshing and changing a source.
