OpenSubtitles
When a stream carries no subtitles, the player can search OpenSubtitles for the actual film or episode and rank what it finds.
It runs on your OpenSubtitles account. There is no shared pool.
Connecting it
Section titled “Connecting it”- Create a free account at opensubtitles.com. An old opensubtitles.org login does not work here.
- Settings → Integrations → OpenSubtitles.com, on any device. A television also shows a QR code to sign up from your phone.
- Type your Username, not the email address you registered with, and the Password, then Sign in.
The card then shows how many downloads you have left today. With Keep my passwords in my account on, your other devices sign in by themselves. Otherwise enter the sign-in on your phone (below), connect it on the phone and send the sign-in over from Settings → Devices rather than typing a password with a remote, or sign in from the account panel.
Signing in on a TV from your phone
Section titled “Signing in on a TV from your phone”- On the TV choose Enter it on your phone in Settings → Integrations → OpenSubtitles.com.
- Scan the code the TV shows with your phone. No camera? On the phone open Settings → Devices → Connect a device and type the code.
- Type your username and password on the phone and send them. If the phone is already signed in to OpenSubtitles, Send the one from this phone does it in one step.
The sign-in goes to the TV end-to-end encrypted. The phone has to be signed in to IPTV Deck.

| Wrong username or password. The account has to be from opensubtitles.com; an opensubtitles.org login does not work here. | Check both, or create a .com account |

Using it
Section titled “Using it”In the player, open the subtitles sheet and choose Search subtitles online… on a phone, or Subtitles → Search subtitles on a television. Results are matched against the title, year and episode rather than the file name, and sorted by how well they fit.
Picking one loads it immediately, and it is kept with the title so you do not fetch it twice.
Limits worth knowing
Section titled “Limits worth knowing”They are the service’s, not the app’s:
- A free account has a daily download quota. The app says … of … downloads left today, and when they run out, at what time they come back. A VIP account on opensubtitles.com raises the limit.
- A changed password shows up as a failure to sign in, not as a failure on the subtitle itself. Reconnect the account on the integration card.
- With it connected, a download of a film or an episode can bring a subtitle track along.
Subtitles that come from elsewhere
Section titled “Subtitles that come from elsewhere”You do not need OpenSubtitles for subtitles that are inside the file. Those are read directly, including SRT, ASS, PGS, DVB and teletext tracks, and on the desktop they are read without a second download.
