Install it
Nine platforms, one account. Pick yours. What each one can and cannot do is on Platforms compared.
Google TV boxes, Android TV sticks and television sets, from Google Play on the device.
- Search for IPTV Deck on the device and install it.
- Open it and sign in, with an account, or by scanning the QR code with your phone, which also sends your playlists over.
- Add a playlist if the QR code did not bring one.
Updates arrive from Play on their own. Smaller ones arrive inside the app.
Not in the Amazon Appstore, so it installs with the free Downloader app, the standard way players like this get onto a Firestick. About two minutes, no computer.
Downloader code: 7083371
The full walkthrough, the device list and every install error is on its own page: Fire TV, step by step.
From the App Store on the Apple TV.
- Search for IPTV Deck on the Apple TV.
- Sign in with the same account you use elsewhere.
One purchase covers iPhone, iPad and Apple TV on the same Apple ID.
Phones and tablets, from Google Play. Install from Play where you can; it keeps itself up to date.
A tablet can switch to the television layout with TV layout (experimental) in Settings → Appearance → Layout, and back in Settings → General → Layout.
No Play Store on the device? Plenty of Android devices never got it, a Meta Quest headset, a
projector, a TV box. Same app, installed from a file instead: open zssoftware.eu/tv-full in the
device browser (or in Downloader) and allow the install when Android asks. That file carries both
ARM builds, so it fits 32-bit and 64-bit devices alike, and from version 1.8.6 also an x86_64 build,
so it runs on Windows Subsystem for Android, Chromebooks and other x86_64 Android devices. Needs
Android 8.0 or newer. That build
updates itself with Install update instead of Google Play, pays in the browser, and offers no
Google sign-in on a device without Google Play.
On a 64-bit device, such as an NVIDIA SHIELD, the update installs the 64-bit version. If the 32-bit version is installed there, Settings says IPTV Deck runs as a 32-bit app on this device and Install the 64-bit version replaces it, keeping your playlists and settings. The 32-bit version can close by itself after a while with large playlists and guides.
On a Firestick use the Fire TV tab instead. It hands you a smaller file built for that hardware.
From the App Store. The same app on both, with picture-in-picture, background audio and AirPlay. Sign in first: the trial needs an account on an iPhone and an iPad.
An iPad can switch to the television layout like an Android tablet, with TV layout (experimental) in Settings → Appearance → Layout.
64-bit Windows 10 and 11. The television layout on a desktop, with a mouse and keyboard where you want them.
- Download the installer from zssoftware.eu/windows and run it.
- Sign in. Windows needs an account from the start, and asks you to confirm your email address: open the link in the email, then I verified my email.
- Playlists follow from your account, or add one.
It keeps itself up to date: the app checks on startup and offers the new version with Update now, which downloads it and restarts the app.
From the Mac App Store, macOS 12 or newer. It shares the purchase with your iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.
Sign in first and confirm your email address, as on Windows. Google sign-in is not offered in the Mac App Store app: use Apple, email or a code from your phone. Updates come from the Mac App Store.
64-bit Linux on a PC, from version 1.8.6, as one AppImage file. The television layout, with a mouse and keyboard.
- Download the AppImage from zssoftware.eu/linux.
- Allow it to run: Properties → Permissions → Allow executing file as program in the file
manager, or
chmod +x IPTV-Deck-*.AppImagein a terminal. Then double-click it. - Sign in and confirm your email address, as on Windows. Playlists follow from your account, or add one.
It keeps itself up to date like the Windows app. If it does not open, see When the AppImage does not open.
LG televisions with webOS, from the LG Content Store on the TV: search for IPTV Deck. If the store on your TV does not list it, it is not available for that TV.
- Install it from the LG Content Store and open it.
- Sign in with a code from your phone, or with email. Trying a playlist needs no account.
- Add a playlist if signing in did not bring one.
Nothing is sold on the TV: Premium bought on another device or in the account panel unlocks it. New versions come from the store, and the app tells you when one is out.
Samsung televisions with Tizen, from Samsung’s app store on the TV: search for IPTV Deck. If the store on your TV does not list it, it is not available for that TV.
- Install it and open it.
- Sign in with a code from your phone, or with email. Trying a playlist needs no account.
- Add a playlist if signing in did not bring one.
Nothing is sold on the TV: Premium bought on another device or in the account panel unlocks it. New versions come from the store, and the app tells you when one is out.
What differs between platforms
Section titled “What differs between platforms”Everything in this manual works everywhere unless a page says otherwise. The exceptions are platform limits, not plan limits. Nothing below is something you pay for.

LG and Samsung TVs are not in the table: they have no downloads, multiview, casting, background audio, picture-in-picture or VLC, they have the colour keys, only Samsung records and only LG has Timeshift, see Platforms compared. On Windows and the Mac a scheduled recording with the window closed needs Run in the background in Settings → Recordings.
